What is the difference between 'Yoga Therapy' and 'Yoga'?Whereas traditional Yoga is primarily concerned with personal transcendence on the part of a "normal" or healthy individual, Yoga therapy aims at the holistic treatment of various kinds of psychological or somatic dysfunctions ranging from back problems to emotional distress. Both approaches, however, share an understanding of the human being as an integrated body-mind system, which can function optimally only when there is a state of dynamic balance. How do I know if I am ready to start? The phrase "you don't start when you're ready, you just start" emphasizes the importance of taking trust based action rather than waiting for the perfect moment. Your body lead you all the way to this page. Do you really still doubt yourself? If so thats ok. The above phrase suggests that waiting for the ideal conditions or being fully prepared may lead to missed opportunities. Instead, it encourages individuals to begin their journey even when they feel unprepared or uncertain because progress often comes through action and learning along the way. Book a discovery call?

Am I 'too old' for this? The short answer is No. Here, we celebrate the wisdom and experience of our elder community members. We believe that age is not a limitation but an opportunity for growth, healing, and transformation. What sets us apart is our lead teachers, the gurus who taught Osiris Booque, the majority of whom are over 60 years old themselves. This unique dynamic allows us to offer an inclusive and age-conscious methodology that caters specifically to the needs and experiences of our elder participants. In Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, we embrace the wisdom that comes with age, acknowledging previous injuries, the changes in aging bodies, the contemplation of mortality, and the natural hesitancies that arise as we gain life's wisdom. Our approach is centered on creating a safe and supportive space for individuals of all ages to embark on their journey towards well-being, self-discovery, and self-acceptance. Join us in celebrating the beauty of every stage of life through the transformative power of Yoga Therapy.

How do I work around Previous/Chronic injuries & longterm health afflictions? When it comes to addressing previous and chronic injuries through Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, our approach is fundamentally rooted in adaptability rather than fixed methodologies. Our foremost commitment is to guide you along the unique path of healing that your body requires. It all begins with the central theme of "befriending the body." In the world of yoga therapy, we don't seek immediate results or push the body to perform better. Instead, we focus on fostering a profound and personal connection with your body. Our intention is not to punish or strain your body but to create a collaborative relationship with it. We aim to facilitate a process of listening, learning, collaborating, fortifying, protecting, and honoring your body, enabling it to sustain itself with longevity. Your previous injuries, scars, and wounds are an integral part of who you are, and they are welcomed and embraced within our practice, much like the Japanese art of kintsugi, where broken pottery is repaired with gold, celebrating its history and imperfections. Similarly, we recognize that your past experiences and injuries have shaped you, and they hold valuable insights for your journey towards healing and wholeness. Through Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, we work with you to understand and integrate these experiences, helping you develop a deep sense of self-awareness and self-compassion. By befriending your body and acknowledging its unique history, we can move forward together on a path of holistic healing and self-discovery. Your journey is guided by your body's wisdom, and we are here to support and facilitate that process every step of the way.

How do I schedule my 8 session package? We appreciate your interest in our 8-session package, designed to provide you with a comprehensive and effective journey to holistic well-being. Scheduling your sessions is flexible and tailored to accommodate your unique needs and schedule constraints. Here are three convenient scheduling options for your 8-session package: Option 1: Bi-Weekly Sessions (4 Weeks) If you prefer a more intensive approach, you can schedule sessions twice a week for four consecutive weeks. This condensed schedule allows for a deep and immersive experience, making it ideal for those who seek quicker progress. Option 2: Weekly Sessions (8 Weeks) For a more gradual and evenly paced journey, you can schedule sessions on a weekly basis, spanning over eight weeks. This approach allows for consistent progress and integration between sessions, promoting sustained well-being. Option 3: 3-Month Window (2-2-3) We understand that some individuals have busy schedules, such as travel nurses or executive directors. To accommodate your needs, you can use a three-month window for your 8-session package. In this option, you can schedule two sessions within the first two months and the remaining three sessions in the third month. This flexibility ensures you can fully benefit from the package without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. Our aim is to make your journey as accessible and convenient as possible. Please feel free to discuss your scheduling preferences with us, and we'll work together to create a plan that aligns with your goals and lifestyle. Your well-being is our priority, and we're here to support you every step of the way.

How can I schedule sessions with you, especially if I'm new?If you're new and haven't worked with me before, you're allowed to schedule a single session as a trial. The great news is that the cost of this single session can be deducted from the full package cost should you choose to continue working with me. After completing the 8-session package, you have the flexibility to book single sessions as you wish. This approach ensures that a baseline of consciousness and well-being is firmly established. It's designed to compound the benefits of our work together and prevent the cycle of constantly "chasing healing." Book a Discovery Call?
